A Local Urgent Care Center Shares Tips on Preparing for the Flu Season


While the entire country is preparing for autumn, there is another season you should be preparing for as well: flu season.

As you might know, the flu is a highly contagious respiratory disease caused by the influenza A or B virus. People who get the flu can be burdened with symptoms such as fever, coughing, headache, body aches, and fatigue.

Unfortunately, there is a good chance that you will catch the flu this season. According to data from WebMD, between 5-20% of the population will contract the flu this year, and of that percentage, 200,000 individuals will be hospitalized because of complications from the illness.
